Coming in early on Thursday night? We've got a special edition of our weekly Thursday Night Blues in The Back Room. Not one, not two, but three DJs will be spinning tunes for you from 9:00pm until 12:30am. (We usually only go till 11:30pm!)

As always, we have a beginner drop-in lesson from 8:15pm to 9:00pm

Coming in extra early, like on Wednesday? There's a bunch of fun dancers who regularly invade Angles Bar & Billiards in Adams Morgan (a nightlife district of Washington).

Let's start the weekend off with a bang! All the way from the Twin Cities in Minnesota comes a band full of creative energy and a sound that will stay with you for the rest of the event. Whether it's Davina singing or the rest of the band kicking it just right, you will be needing to find someone to dance every song. What a treat to have her here, for real.

Late Night at DuShor

Anything goes at this late night. Our DJs will settle on into a groove that will leave you with just the right amount of energy to get to bed by dawn for a full day of workshops that follow the next two days. The Open Jack & Jill finals will occur around 2am. Then the lights'll go low and the floor will be yours till clean up at 5.

Doesn't get much better than having Gordon Webster hand pick a selection of musicians for your event's centerpiece. Dance up close to the stage to catch every note and get lost in the music. The beginner lesson will feature Beginner Blues and Swing moves and footwork, with an aim of getting new dancers comfortable on the floor.

More late night! The Showcase Competition will take place around 2am during the first break between the DJs. Then we dance until it's time to kick people out.

The first time Sean Morse played for a Sunday Night Blues back in 2009, he was absolutely captivating with his performance. Since then we've had him back for Red Hot Blues 'n BBQ, where he made up songs about Rachel and the BBQ earlier that day. One of the best things with Sean is that while never knowing what's going to happen next, you're full of confidence that next note is going to move you right, or maybe left. Whether it's improvisation, witty lyricism, or soulful time taking you crave, you'll be right at home as we close out our weekend.

Join us as we all let our hair down at the end of a hairy week thanks to Frankenstorm and an action packed weekend. Our DJs will close things up in our weekly venue so you can get those last dances in before going out to some crazed house party. Sundays often feature some of the best energy throughout the whole weekend; even though people are tuckered out, they're also in pretty good spirits. Fun chaos ensues.
