Red Hot Blues 'n BBQ

This is nothing less than a spectacular summertime party complete with four live bands, DJs from all over spinning late until 5am, and perhaps the best food you'll find at a dance event! We've decided to move to May so that none of our dancers melt from DC's notorious sweltering summer. Considering most of our evening dances will be held in a combination of the Spanish Ballroom and the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo, we think you'll appreciate the change.

Things will un-officially kick off Thursday night in the Back Room when we'll go for an extra hour. Then Friday night we'll have a live band (TBA) from 9:00 till midnight. Late night dances will be held at our favorite little late night venue -- DuShor Dance Studio in Bethesda, MD.

Saturday's BBQ will be chilling next to a water park, with music, games, and catered by one of our favorite BBQ joints in the area. We're working hard to finalize things with our headlining band for Saturday night. Fingers crossed, and we'll announce that this week. Once again, we'll have late night over at DuShor with some left-overs from the day's BBQ.

And Sunday will be the BBQ competition featuring dishes that you prepare (should you decide to join the fray). Winners will win fun things, including extra money to help cover costs of the food itself. Plus, if you're able to beat them, you'll have the pleasure of watching Mike, Hyong, and Duane cry like little girls. Sunday evening features another live band back at Glen Echo before more late night dancing at DuShor.

Monday, whomever is left, we're working on securing a park location in DC by a famous fountain for more blues dancing and chilling. Stick around for the goodbye dance at Glen Echo, and keep your ears open for a late night party or two.
